Our Story

In 1964, Ed and Margie Imo opened their first pizza restaurant in the Dogtown neighborhood of St. Louis with a simple dream: to create the most unique and delicious pizza experience in America. What started as a small family business has grown into an iconic St. Louis institution, beloved for our ultra-thin crust, signature Provel cheese, and distinctive square-cut style.

The Beginning

Ed and Margie Imo open the first Imo's Pizza in the Dogtown neighborhood of St. Louis, introducing the world to authentic St. Louis style pizza.

1973

First Expansion

Opened our second location, beginning the expansion that would make Imo's a household name across the St. Louis metropolitan area.

1985

Franchise Success
